For years people have been looking for another dance move to shake up the moves and if they could not find what they like most people would just invent something themselves. Krumping is one of these dances that came directly from the streets of America just like the rappers and over sized wheels. There are some very interesting and sometimes crazy fashions that come into our world but Krumping is one fashion that might be around for quite some time. With that gangster attitude to the Krumping scene the kids on the streets are trying to use Krumping as a way of solving their problems rather than just hurting or killing each other. Dance offs for Krumping have been going on for a while now with some spectacular moves and some exciting outcomes.

Krumping is unique in the sense that it as a dance is very different but also that in Krumping the aim of the dance is to provide your own dance moves based on others but with your own original twists. The dancing is very rigorous and the participants get a sweat going on very quickly because they are trying hard to get the whole thing happening for them. In the dance off there is a system of point even though there is no set number where you need to do better at moves than your opposition. If you can do the move in a similar way that has your own touch of glory on it then you are more likely to win the dance of moves.

You will find that Krumping is a style of dance moves that the American teenagers invented to keep themselves occupied on the streets as well as to use for dance competitions instead of using violence to solve their problems. The best thing that was stated about the Krumping craze was simply that teens were now using this as a way of fighting their battles rather than shooting and stabbing each other. This made top headlines in many parts of the world when two gang leaders got together to decide their problems over a dance off. The style of dancing is referred to as energetic free dance moves that are partly made up and partly routine. Depending on the dancer and his or her style you will find that the differences are complete but the similarities are still visible.

A high energy free styling dance that is also referred to in the Wikipedia as expressive and exaggerated using all body parts as well as the torso. Looking almost dangerous there is no doubt that Krumping in one dance style that the American teens love to participate in as well as to watch. As a style of acronym the word KRUMP stands for Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise. It is an aggressive style of dance which is said to release anger and get people in the right mood for just chilling out to coin a phrase.

Krumping is known as a hip hop dance style which goes together with the hip hop music in a way that the dance moves are deliberately conditioned to that particular style of beat. In 1990 an American that went by the name of Tommy the Clown created a dance move referred to as clowning. Later the dancing became more aggressive and became known as Krumping which is still popular today after a good twenty year stretch. The LA gangs and hip hop crews took eagerly to this new style of dancing which eventually grew to the status of a regulated dance.

There is a new hard core style of dance that has hit the streets which is being used in America to some success to help stop violence on the street. Instead of kids shooting it out and killing each other they match wits and dance moves trying to claim the crown and become the best of the best. Krumping is a wild and crazed style of dance that involves plenty of head swinging and a certain amount of body movement as well as looking like you are having a fit. Once the krumping competition gets underway then there is little that will stop the masses of flesh thrown around on the dance floor. They say that some activities are dangerous but krumping looks like you are going to cause some serious damage.

All the kids today know how to krump and you can see them practicing on the side walk and in the school grounds. The best part about it is that the kids don’t even know they are keeping out of trouble because dancing is one of the more favorable things to do when you are aged between 12 and 18. Everyone claim to have their own unique krumping style however what looks like the same moves played over and over again is pretty much just that and nothing more.

Krumping is a dance movement, originally formed by gangs in America to be able to express themselves. Now it has developed to a more commercial and mainstream form of dancing. Krumping moves are generally exaggerated and big, with lots of chest moving and arm swinging in a highly energetic manner.

Krumping usually involves battles, which isn’t as aggressive as it sounds. In fact it is a fun way to express yourself. It basically involves 3 people who are krumping who have a dance off to see who can pull out the best moves.

Krumping is popular in American communities where people will often start a session on the street. As session involves everyone forming a circle and the krumper displaying his or her moves in the middle. This is similar to Hip-hop or break-dancing when people freestyle and ‘cipher’.

It can be seen in many music videos, the most popular is Christina Aguleira’s ‘get dirty’ which feature some very high energy moves. Madonna, Missy Elliot, Black Eyed Peas and even the Chemical Brothers have all had videos which show dancers krumping.

Like hip-hop krumping has its own slang terms which are used by those in the krumping community. If someone performs a ‘buck’ then that is considered to be a move that is extremely impressive and hard to pull-off. Labbin’ is a term used to describe when members of a krumping crew get together and try to create new buck moves. Krumping is set to gain even more popularity in the future, with classes starting to spring up in America.

Krumping is a unique form of dance that began in the 1990s. It’s a freeform style of dance that thrives on self expression and movement. It places emphasis on getting into the rhythm and beat and going with what the music makes you feel. It is a street dance that began as a way for inner city kids to escape from gang life and express the positive things that they have.

Krumping is an important part of dance history and culture in the United States, especially for those into the hip hop scene. Instead of fighting or hurting each other, a group of people might have a Krump battle instead, which is basically a dance off between one or many individuals. Whoever shows the most skill, energy, and passion, usually wins. Winning a dance battle gives the person bragging rights, street cred, or even money in professional competitions. Krumping can also be referred to as “Clowning” but clowning is actually less aggressive than the original krumping is. Flailing, thrusting, and movements similar to break dancing are often used. There aren’t any rules for Krump, because everyone makes it their own thing as they go along, which is why it is such a unique dance.

The important concept to note is that Krumping may look like an aggressive fight, but in reality is a violence free way to resolve problems amongst peers. It’s a fun and healthy outlet for the troubled youth in major cities such as L.A and New York City. Many people compare it to moshing, with the exception that moshing usually involves hurting your peers. While Krumping started amongst African American teenagers in L.A, it is now known around the US and worldwide amongst all races and backgrounds.
